Hamad International Airport Phase B Expansion

Hamad International Airport, formerly known as the New Doha International Airport, is located in Doha, the capital of Qatar. Opened in 2014, it is one of the most advanced airports in the Middle East and the region’s busiest aviation hub. The Phase B expansion is underway, including the construction of 11,000 square meters of new retail and dining areas, a 10,000-square-meter indoor garden, and a new cargo terminal, increasing passenger capacity to 60 million per year. Once completed, the airport’s annual capacity will reach 70 million passengers. According to the latest data from the International Air Transport Association, passenger numbers in the Middle East are expected to double by 2040.
